So it seems to be a trend for me, new year, new game. This year brings forth the strategic card game known as Hearthstone. Initially, i thought the game looked terrible, i mean seriously, a card game? Despite these obnoxious 'first impression' thoughts, the game turned out to be quite the stunner. It's a very enthralling game but unlike the other games out there, it's casual. Its very 'chill' and laid-back. It feels like a nice warming coffee table game. The game is mostly strategic but has aspects of luck in it. <br />
<br />
If you're going to give the game a swing, i recommend playing the game with a friend as it can bring a sense of rivalry and competition. There are cards, therefore you have to open packs to get cards. Competing with friends is a very fun aspect of the game, whoever gets the best cards will be able to have a stinging advantage. Once you familiarize yourself with the game, try playing ranked and arena. And search up a 'Zoolock' deck. It is by far the most efficient and strongest deck out there for beginners and amateurs. </div>

Lets start off on this flabbergasting note. My team won second place in Debate Dubai 2014.<br />
<br />
Here's the story...<br />
<br />
Winning second comes off as a massively big surprise to me if i were to read that in the past. For those who don't know, there is a debate competition that is held in Dubai, with multiple schools taking part. It was hosted by the Jumeirah College (JC). My sixth form team in Sharjah English School comprised of me and two of my friends. We were capable debtors without past experience in an actual competition, therefore we weren't expecting the best. In fact, our English teacher just believed it to be a good experience for us. So we gave it a shot.<br />
<br />
It was a little intimidating seeing all the schools, especially the big Dubai schools that were there. The sheer amount of people itself put us all off from having any hopes. People from many different ethnic groups were there, which was nice to see. Our first debate was an unprepared one, which meant that we had 45 minutes of time to prepare from a given topic or motion. Again, i'd like to remind you that we weren't in tune with what we'd have to do. Our first debate was against none other then the host school JC. We lost. Yes, it was a bad start for us. But i'd like to point out that we were just getting 'in tune' with the debating system. We vowed to do better the next round.<br />
<br />
Following the loss, we had a debate against another school with a prepped topic, something we had prepared beforehand. Astonishingly, we had won. We believed that we had used all of our days luck there and that the win would be our only victory. Man were we wrong. We followed up with a consecutive three in a row victory after that, making it past the quarter and semi finals. In total we had won FOUR debates in a row and lost, a close one, in the finals. As a result we came in second place. Out of six debates, we won four. Not bad for a first try. Not bad at all. My team spent a total of twelve or more hours participating in the competition. We brought our school back the second place trophy with pride. It was a good day for us, but we weren't complacent, we could and will work harder.<br />
<br />
However, now that we know how things go, our team will return next time a lot more lethal than before. </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<u><b>Factual Evidence:</b></u></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It is confirmed from Shonen Jump, the publisher of the number one manga, Naruto, that it will reach its conclusion on November 10th (Monday). November 10th is the day of the manga release in Japan and for subscribers of the Shonen Jump. However, scans on the internet will receive the manga on either November 5th or the 6th. That means that for a majority of us, our beloved manga will reach its end on a Wednesday or Thursday. This confirmation is probably directly verified with Kishimoto too. Therefore it is 100% legitimate. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<u><b>Plot Ideas and theories:</b></u></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I believe that the fight will be very one sided for it to end this quick. Naruto will end up a victor, however Sasuke and Naruto will make amends. Of course this is a generic cliche ending. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Another possibility is that Naruto TnJs (Talk No Jutsu) Sasuke into turning good. Sure they fight but only for a while. The fight will be more meaningful than full of action. Sasuke will ultimately be swayed by words.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Lastly something else utterly different may happen. Who knows. Surprise me. I really hope that there is enough time to wrap things up. I'd wish to see sentimental moments of Jiraiya, Minato and Nagato. Whatever happened to the Ninja tools near Tenten, Infinite Tsukuyomi, Kaguyas needed army, Madaras dead body? </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We knew it was coming. But 5 weeks. Are you kidding me? This news to me was shocking. Utterly shocking. I thought Naruto would last for an additional fifteen chapters or so, at the least. At the moment, it is the final battle, Naruto v Sasuke. It has just begun. Literally, the last page of chapter 694 shows Naruto and Sasuke exchanging fists. That's it. Now we will have to expect this fight to reach its conclusion in five chapters alongside the wrapping up. How will that happen? God knows. However, i trust Kishimoto to wrap it up sufficiently and no matter what or how it ends, Naruto will go down as my favorite manga. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<u><b>What does the Naruto ending mean to Naruto fans? </b></u></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Well, for starters some people have been with Naruto for about 15 years. In my case, i've followed Naruto for eight years. That means that i've grown up alongside Naruto and his adventures. Many of us did. It is definitely sad to see it leaving. To me, it's like my best friend, a childhood best friend, leaving for good. The thought of it ending is very daunting. If i could, i would like to sit beside a lake and just stare into the waters reflecting upon my life and how Naruto influenced and entertained it for so long. No matter the ending, for better or worse, Naruto will always be part of my history in a good manner. Naruto is simply...irreplaceable. </div>

<span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: Arial; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"> The railroads were a very important factor in solving problems faced by homesteaders in the years 1870-90. This was due to a multitude of reasons, categorized as push and pull factors, particularly, the railroads had offered a solution to a majority of problems at the time. Also, the railroads were one of the biggest enabling factors, its benefits seemingly more important than others. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

This was due to factors which essentially pushed them away from the East like the migration of people from Europe, shortages in housing, inflation, overpopulation, crime and violence. Rumors of free fertile land, stories of success and the belief in the Manifest Destiny fueled the people to travel West. However as the homesteaders were en-route to the Western frontier they encountered several problems. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b style="font-weight: normal;"><br /></b></div>
<div style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: justify;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: Arial; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span></span><span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: Arial; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">The first problem a homesteader would encounter is the journey. The Plains were natural and untainted, the land was unforgiving and rough. Carts pulled by oxen would tumble and rivers would swallow up supplies. Many people died just from the journey and accidents during the journey. On arrival to an appointed piece of land from the government or by simply finding suitable land, the homesteaders faced more problems. The families worked gruesomely together to plough the land. Without properly ploughed land, crops couldn’t be grown and hence food wouldn’t be available. Secondly, water was very hard to find, or rather, clean water was hard to find. Ploughing was also done for the intention of collecting sod, to build houses, though ploughing was difficult as the roots in the plains were very deep. If homesteaders were fortunate enough to grow crops, there was a high possibility that the crops would be ravaged by storms like tornadoes, powerful winds, draughts, and heavy snowstorms. Also pests would sometimes come in large swarms and consume any plants they come in contact with. Most of the homesteaders were originally city folk and were inexperienced in building their lives from scratch with little to nothing to work from. Lastly, the homesteaders were isolated from others, their neighbours would be miles away, supplies and materials were far from reach. Additionally, Native Americans may show up, either friendly or hostile. Hostile Natives would cause problems through raids or stealing supplies, even killing. </span></div>
<div style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: justify;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: Arial; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"> </span></div>
<div style="line-height: 1.15; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt; text-align: justify;">
<span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: Arial; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span></span><span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: Arial; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; text-decoration: none; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;">In 1874, several inventions came into place, the wind tower was made to extract water from deep underground, barbed wire was made to separate land and the railroad was made. All of these factors were helpful for the homesteaders in facing their problems, though the railroad was the most important factor. This is because the railroad spanned across the whole of the US from the East to the West and vice versa. Travelling across the plains was now significantly easier. Furthermore, supplies, materials, people, provisions and animals could be brought across the continent with the railroad. This solved many problems, if the Natives had caused a racket, the US army would intervene as the railroads allowed for easy transport. If supplies were lacking, the homesteaders could get some delivered by the railroad. Also, isolation was no longer a problem as more and more people came to the West and even settled around the middle of the US because of the railroads. If it wasn’t for the railroads, this wouldn’t be possible as it would be significantly harder to travel across. Lives were also saved technically because if it wasn’t for the construction of the railroads, more people would've fallen victim to the death on the journey. The railroads quite essentially connected America up and had brought solutions to the problems that were previously mentioned. Families could travel along to the West at a much faster time as compared to normal travelling speed by cart. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: Arial; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Arial; vertical-align: baseline; white-space: pre-wrap;"><span style="vertical-align: baseline;"><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre;"> </span></span><span style="vertical-align: baseline;">In conclusion, the railroads were an important factor in solving problems for the homesteaders in the years of 1870-90. This was because it gave solutions to nearly all the problems that the homesteaders faced in the plains. Or if it didn’t directly offer a solution it played a role in making the solution easier to obtain and reach towards. </span></span><br />

So i've taken the initiative to participate in CNNs iReport Assignments regarding Islam. I made a post there and i thought it would be good idea to give it a share over here. Basically, in the iReport, i have stated my opinions on Islam as a Muslim that is from Malaysia, raised in America and now living in the Emirates. I can't post the actual article here but the link is down below. It would be superbly great if you would give it a read!<br />

Just a brief history on my music tastes before we take dip in the world that is Pendulum. They say a person will shuffle through several genres of music in their lifetime. I can approve this. When i was a wee-little boy of the age of about 6, i used to enjoy listening to Linkin Park, Greenday, and The Scorpions (Yes, The Scorpions are quite ancient now). Simply categorized, my taste was rock music. Growing up slightly in my pre teen years of around 13, i started developing a taste in Popular music (pop) and Soul like Ke$ha, Ne-Yo, Usher. All these tastes in music still linger with me to this day, i mean, Linkin Park and Greenday were amazing! However, i now breakthrough to my next and presumably my final stage in music taste. I now fall under the category of general electronic music, more specifically i enjoy EDM (Electronic Dance Music), Dubstep (Chillstep, heavy, brutal, etc.) and Drum and Bass.<br />
<br />
Pendulum is like the soulmate for my music tastes. This is because it has elements of Dubstep, electronic, rock and quite predominantly, drum and bass. If you don't know, Pendulum is a group of talented musicians, formerly known as a band, from the great Australia. Speaking in modern informal terms, their music is simply 'sick' (which is good). Some of their tracks are purely instrumental whilst some include vocal parts. Their latest album 'Immersion' has a mixture of both and has met or even exceeded the standards of their previous albums. My favorite song from Pendulum is actually from the album 'In Silico.' The song is called 'The Other Side.' It features really nice drum and bass, just as all their songs do. Additionally, it also has really catchy vocal parts alongside unique versus. The music itself is electronic with a theme of drum and bass which makes for a perfectionist duo.<br />
<br />
Pendulum has a rather supporting fan base that really appreciates the music. Unlike other artists or bands, hate is very prominent. This isn't generally the case with Pendulum as people enjoy the music and praise the group. I can say that i gladly hopped into the Pendulum fan train and fitted along with it rather nicely. If you don't listen to this genre of music, give it a try. Pendulum makes really quality music. It shows. In fact, i'm listening to '9000 Miles,' one of their songs right now. Goes to show! Obviously, this is all just part of my opinion until you have a listen yourself.<br />

Anyone who is caught up with the manga is probably either ecstatically happy or extremely annoyed. Right after the relentless fight with Kaguya, we get our farewells and epilogue material. But then something happens. Sasuke. Yes. Uchiha Sasuke does something that isn't surprising at all. He starts revolution. Having Madara, Kaguya, and the Hokages out of the way, Sasuke readily challenges Naruto. But first, he traps Narutos nine new best buddies, the tailed beasts. Naruto storms down in epic rage, ready to annihilate Sasuke, with a face of determination and steel. However, we all know our beloved main character wouldn't kill Sasuke. We've seen the sketches for The Last Naruto Movie and it shows Naruto. But no Sasuke. So now, i've devised some theories on the progression of Naruto and what i think may happen. Just a heads up, the manga is on break next week. So lets stock up on discussions.<br />
<div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
1. <b><u>The talk</u></b>: Naruto will gradually talk Sasuke out of the fight. After all, Naruto admittedly stated that they understand each other through fists, so basically they have to fight to understand each other. This method is infamously called the 'Talk no jutsu" otherwise known by the acronym 'TnJ.' Of course we can expect flashbacks along the way and some commentary from Sakura and Kakashi. [Anyone else annoyed with the way Sakura is holding Kakashi?]</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
2.<b> <u>Hamura</u></b>: Hamura Ootsutsuki, the brother of the Sage of Six Paths (So6P). We still haven't seen his debut yet. I think his role is definitely not over yet. We all got a brief mentioning of him and only seen him through Kaguyas flashbacks. The thing that makes Hamuras appearance more credible is the fact that the sage himself is fading away. We haven't even gotten the backstory regarding Kaguya that we wanted? Why did Kaguya want the army of white zetsus? Why where there those ominous castles in the background of the Kaguya dimensions? What happened to Hamura? BAM. the answer to this is Hamura himself. If he somehow emerges to assist Naruto or carry on his own agenda, we can expect some major backstory talks. I'm hoping for something along those lines to occur. For sure. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
3. <u style="font-weight: bold;">Indra and Ashura</u>: The 2 children of the So6P have been mentioned over and again. Man. We want to actually see them don't we? As we already know, Naruto and Sasuke are the inheritors of the will and chakra destiny branch of Indra/Ashura. Remember that momentous time before shippudden when Naruto and Sasuke clashed at the Valley of the End. Good times! Well, something happened when the Chidori and Rasengan collided. They got to understand and meet on even terms as plain people in some white distant area. What if this were to happen again in the current fight, except this time they meet Indra and Ashura in the plain? Naruto could throw out the TnJ and have a little lecture with the Sages children. He could try to break the lineage and stop this once and for all for EVERY generation. Whilst doing this, Sasuke will be there watching this talk and maybe have a change of heart. Maybe. If all else and this fails to happen, then maybe the 2 children will appear via some sort of chakra state just as the Sage did. Who knows.</div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
4. <u style="font-weight: bold;">Hostage</u>: I've considered to myself whether this is worth noting down but i've concluded it as a possibility. What if Sasuke were to take Sakura or Kakashi amidst the fight and kill one of them. Or why not both? I don't know. However, i do know that Naruto will freak out if this happened. Just seeing Hinata get injured at the Pain fight turned Naruto into an insta-six tails. With Narutos current powers, he could whip out something on par with a spirit bomb if he were to rage. The only problem is that it's Sasuke and we all know that deep down, Naruto loves Sasuke...as a friend. One thing is for sure, we need more actual deaths in Naruto because there just isn't enough. I'm sure Naruto matured further so he may not go on a killing rage spree against Sasuke but it may trigger something in Naruto. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
5. <u style="font-weight: bold;">Death</u>: As i mentioned earlier, the designs for Naruto The Last Movie were released. Most characters were shown in their young adult form (about 21 years old). We didn't get to see everyone, but most people were revealed, heck even Temaris designs were made. Just not Sasuke and a couple others. However Sasuke is the important one here. Why wasn't he revealed? Could he be dead? Could his design be a massive spoiler? Or is there some massive change about him? Considering Sasuke is one of the main characters formally known as a deuteragonist<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"> </span><span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">his reveal should be of the utmost importance. This remains a suspenseful mystery for us Naruto fans. For sure Naruto doesn't die since we saw his designs. Narutos arm with the 'Sun' tattoo is bandaged. Why is that? Maybe he did something that injured himself there, like a RasenShuriken, or maybe Sasuke did something to him. Or it could just be cosmetic. Psh, ninjas. If the movie isn't canon and is set place as another filler type movie, then that opens the stage for new possibilities. Who knows we'll have to see. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Of course, something else may happen. I hope that one of these five theories happens or at least a mixture of some of them. Maybe Kishimoto sensai will just pull something else thats really bizarre. But in the end of the day, i don't really mind. I thoroughly enjoyed Naruto as a manga and thank Kishimoto sensai. What will you do after Naruto is finished, in regards to anime/manga? I'm stll not even sure. Any suggestions?</span></div>

It has been some time since the Brazil 2014 World Cup. The hype seemed to die down <i>slightly</i> and most footballers use this time to themselves (Evident through the <i>Instagram</i> accounts of many football stars) or to squeeze in some more training, mostly more training. Some players are called in by their national teams to play some international matches, as if the world cup wasn't enough. So its like having a rematch. A supposed 'friendly' rematch. But just as Martin Tyler from the FIFA game commentaries says "<i>Once we see the first couple of tackles</i>" we'll know just how friendly the match is. I'm positive World Cup players attending the friendlies take this as a personal match if they had a bad time in the World Cup. I'd say its not so friendly, rather a personal competition.<br />
<br />
Germany, footballs World Champions, the king of the crop, had found themselves ironically pitted up against Argentina. Argentina returns with a renewed vengeance like no other, armed with their powerhouse 'Di Maria,' who recently transferred to Manchester United, Argentina is sure to perform in a worthy manner. The finalist and runner up team took this match as their personal vengeance and won it defiantly at a 2-4 win, resulting in Germanys loss. However it is important to note that in friendlies, managers usually put up 'bench' players. Basically, the big stars from the World Cup weren't called up to play, well, several weren't. Germany didn't have their stars like Klose, Ozil, and several others playing in the match however Argentina didn't have Messi. Messi was actually injured from his match against VillaReal when playing in Barcelona. I'm sure it was a total bummer for the Golden Ball winner, otherwise known as the Worlds Best Footballer. Indeed these matches are interesting to see, especially after the end of the World Cup.<br />
<br />
In my opinion, Argentina deserved to win the friendly. Poor Di Maria was injured and couldn't attend the final at the World Cup, so this match was definitely redemption for him. This match was really good too and i recommend you watch it. <b>I rate this match a 7.2/10</b> because it was action packed and we got to see Di Maria. A total of six goals were scored in the match. I mainly tuned in to see the match in sheer eagerness to see how Argentina would do against Germany a second time. I wasn't disappointed. Well played. <i>ggwp</i>.<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<i>I'm sure Messi gave Di Maria a bro-hug after his performance.</i></div>

My warmest greetings to everyone! For the past year i've been quite busy with exams and the general shenanigans of life, hence the inactivity. However i plan to start up writing again! A load of things have happened since my disappearance in the blogging world. This includes the Brazil World Cup, my GCSEs, technological advancements, and a myriad of other things. I'm going to start picking up the pieces where i left it and hopefully i can get this blog up and running again. I've got tons of things to start posting so please stay tune. </div>
Arief Zulkiflihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11431812416756145937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6927521032178049256.post-87301797945850493622013-06-29T04:47:00.000-04:002013-06-29T04:47:05.909-04:00Summer 2013<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
This year was very gruesome and passed by slowly for me. However i had some fun times and learned plenty of things. This year was a very crucial year as a sat my GCSE exams for Biology, Physics and Chemistry. I've received my results for Biology and passed with an A, which was my target. Next year will be the real deal. I've got the rest of my GCSEs to do, which will be a challenge.<br />
<br />
Apart from academics i have continued to pursue Golf and Violin. On June 11th, i took my violin grade 5 exam from ABRSM and successfully passed! It was a tremendous feat for me, though i have to now focus on completing Grade 5 Theory exams. Alongside that, i've taken up Drums and Piano. I have to say, drums is coming along well and i'm getting more adept at making beats. For Piano, i'm struggling to keep both hands playing though i can manage to play some great contemporary songs. <br />
<br />
On a lighter note, i've played a couple of golf games on the course and my games getting better and more consistent, due to private golf lessons and practice. I hope to register my handicap soon and start to take on some competitions. I've already participated in various competitions with handicapped golfers in Dubai Creek and Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club, so i had the privilege to play alongside stupendous golfers.<br />
<br />
Best of all, it is summer and i will be visiting Malaysia for the majority of the summertime. I take this chance now to relax and have fun, ready and prepared for the upcoming year. Oh, and i forgot to mention, I bought an Xbox 360 from my friend Alex! The Xbox is great and since I already own a Playstation 3 and Wii, i now master all 3 consoles!<br />
<br />
Anyways i wish everyone a great Summer! If you haven't already, please visit my Youtube and subscribe, its coming along nicely =)<br />

Examinations are essential in being able to measure our capacity in knowledge. Exams can come to students in many forms, as SATs, GCSE's or like in my home country, Malaysia, PMR (or SPM, mixed up between the two). It presents itself to me as the GCSE's and like all exams, it brings forth a challenge. I'm starting to face the hardships that occur during exam times. Keeping motivation and to continuously study is easier said than done. I have done one of my examinations for Biology, actually 1 third of it, it was the B1 exam and thank god, i had gotten an A. It wasn't an A* or A+ but it was still something, and I am happy of my result and hope to continue in that path or hopefully even achieve better! The pressure builds on, as more tests approach in June, maybe this is why i haven't been on in sometime or maybe i was just lazy (haha). But if there is anyone out there, then i'd like to thank you for reading. Blogger sure has changed, hope to create a new look for this blog and add some new features! Keep up with me folks! :)</div>

School has come to an end and is reeling in memories of the past school terms. Only recently, it felt as if school had just begun but now it's summer, the long awaited summer. All my previous activities like HorseBack riding, Golf, Tennis, and Piano have come to an erupt stop for the time. But i continue to practice violin and have successfully passed the Grade 4 ABRSM violin exam. Bringing me up a step in my 'career' as a violinist. As of now, I wait for the long awaited and needed trip to Malaysia, my home-country. To keep myself occupied, I have my laptop, violin, and some books to keep me company. Nearly every night, my family and I watch "The Practice," a series on law. This series was deeply influential in my ambition to becoming a lawyer, a civil lawyer to be specific. We have watched seven out of eight of the seasons and ironically, are coming to the end of the series as school has also come to an end.</div>Arief Zulkiflihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11431812416756145937noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6927521032178049256.post-81343841044185529302012-05-28T11:58:00.002-04:002012-05-28T11:58:29.921-04:00[I'm Back] Dubai Youth Orchestra<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">
It has been sometime that I haven't updated my blog, and for all who don't know, it is EXAM week! Academic exams and my violin grade 4 ABRSM exam. My 'career' with the violin has took a big step forwards! I got accepted in the Dubai Youth Orchestra about five weeks ago. The Dubai Youth Orchestra has been formed for a very long time and had its own music academy. We've held rehearsals at The Third Line in Dubai and have already hosted a concert at the Pavilion. The orchestra consists of a variety of people in many ethnic groups and ages of youth. The conductor there, Mr. Imad, is a very passionate and committed violinist. I've learnt plenty from him already, and was warmly welcomed by the community and family committee there. In the future, videos will be taken of the concerts and rehearsals for all to enjoy! Anyone is free to join who is interested [Must be auditioned], with the requirement that the participant is committed and passionate about the instrument.<br />
<br />
Instruments include the: Violin, Cello, Guitar, Flute, Oud, and sometimes even the drums.<br />
<br />
Please do visit and like their Facebook page which is the Dubai Youth Orchestra and you can visit the website [Still incomplete as its new] www.dubaiyouthorchestra.com </div>Arief Zulkiflihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11431812416756145937noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6927521032178049256.post-57626128083346412622012-03-21T10:44:00.001-04:002012-03-21T10:44:44.912-04:00Movie making for Mac<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"> Mac users have lots of set back in the way that many application were built natively for Windows. But there are a lot of things that are unique to the Mac. Macs have a sleek look and the "genie" effect of opening and closing applications or programs give it a difference feel then in Windows. Movie making is one of the most packed features available in a Mac. You can screen record freely using "Quicktime Player" and also record audio. "Imovie" also come free in applications folder were you can make movies. Just drag your movie into the project folder and start editing! Editing is made very easy and user friendly, you can add photos using Iphoto and add music with Itunes. Imovie is pre-bundled with powerful tools to make trailers with different themes and many different types of transitioning effects. There's simply lots to discover in the Mac! </div>Arief Zulkiflihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11431812416756145937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6927521032178049256.post-69417969956667080702012-02-22T10:21:00.000-05:002012-02-22T10:21:11.812-05:00HorseBack Riding<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">I've started to take HorseBack riding lessons at the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing club. My first lesson was the basics of getting steady and balanced. The horses name was 'Pirate.' The second lesson I took was mainly the same but at the end the proctor threw in a surprise. The guider released the horse and the horse started galloping away. I held on tight and deep inside I was literally petrified. At first i thought that i was going to fall, the proctor kept telling me to pull the reign, so i did and the horse stopped. That was one of the most terrifying experiences i've ever faced. But at the end, i looked back at it as a great experience. I sit here wondering what awaits me in the next class. </div>Arief Zulkiflihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11431812416756145937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6927521032178049256.post-19753331443332425502012-02-16T11:14:00.000-05:002012-02-16T11:14:49.448-05:00The Dubai Desert Classic Golf Tournament<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"> A couple days ago the Dubai Desert Classic was held at the Emirates Golf Club at Emirates Hill Dubai, UAE. I received a free ticket from the golf club that i take classes in which is the Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club. On arrival, I went straight to the driving range area, where I got to watch the professionals practice hitting. Some steps away was the pitching and bunker practice area, where they practiced chipping, pitching, and hitting in the bunker. After that, I watched a couple of pro's tee-off. Eventually came Rory Mcllroy and his tee-off group which also included Martin Keymer. Mcllroy is currently the worlds Number 2 golfer! We followed his group around the eighteen holes for around 8 hours in total, in between rounds, I ate lunch at the various canteens they had around the course. The winner of the Tournament was Cabrera Bello with the score of -18.</div>Arief Zulkiflihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11431812416756145937noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6927521032178049256.post-18136409366966457712012-02-12T11:12:00.001-05:002012-02-12T11:14:03.983-05:00Release of New RSPS: SkilledPKZ 614<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">I am in the making of the Skilledpkz blog and all the information will go there. Law categorizes murder in 2 ways:<br />
<br />
1.Murder in the first degree.<br />
2.Murder in the second degree<br />
-Man slaughter.<br />
<br />
First degree murder is known as planned killing. By this, it means that the murderer took time to plan before he committed the crime. Therefore it is known as unlawful. The punishment for first degree murder is life sentence or death. Most countries have stopped death penalty but it is still practiced.<br />
Second degree murder is a murder thats stumbled upon or not planned. It is a murder that is lower then that of the first degree. The punishment for the second degree murder is any terms of sentence in jail (from court) or life sentence.<br />
Even lower then second degree murder is man slaughter or sometimes called third degree. Manslaughter is generally a lighter punishment then a second degree murder. Known to be 'Un-intentional.' An example would be a drunk driver who runs over a pedestrian. The manslaughter mentioned is 'involuntary' but there is also 'voluntary' manslaughter. 'Voluntary' manslaughter is like the second degree but instead a normal person killed due to the learning of something. Otherwise, its known as a "passionate" kill. </div>Arief Zulkiflihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11431812416756145937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6927521032178049256.post-37940054057128869832012-01-02T03:00:00.000-05:002012-01-02T03:00:43.207-05:002012 Happy New Year<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"> I guess I'm a bit late for some people but I wish everyone a "Happy New Year!" Being sometime into the new year, it's funny that the 2012 predictions are coming our way. Total joke in my opinion. Being based off the Mayan calendar. Anyways, we'll see whats to come. Happy New Year!</div>Arief Zulkiflihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11431812416756145937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6927521032178049256.post-47810285309432217692011-12-31T06:54:00.000-05:002011-12-31T06:54:29.546-05:00Golfing<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"> Two day ago, me and my three friends went golfing at Sharjah Gold and Shooting Club. We took an eighteen hole game and drove together with golf carts. The experience was nice and we all played well. On hole 10, the course was at its peak and many other golfers were coming. So we were slightly pressured by people behind us and slowed down by people in front of us. On one of the holes, my friend hit very far, about 250 yards and almost hit the person in front of us. They were angry and complained, so that shows that you should be careful when you hit. Anyways, the eighteen holes was very fun and I hope to do that again!</div>Arief Zulkiflihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11431812416756145937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6927521032178049256.post-19513507638723224822011-12-26T07:02:00.000-05:002011-12-26T07:02:54.910-05:00Jailbreak'ing to the furthest<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"> Despite the amount of updates continuously released by Apple, the jailbreaking community finds a way to jailbreak it. What was the big deal of the Iphone 4S? Well the Iphone 4S mainly has better graphics and a better A5 chip, but the main feature was Siri. Siri is basically a built in program that understand speech and does what you say. For example," Please call my 'Mom' afterschool." It will then do that at the specified time. Anyways, Siri was meant to be the special feature of the Iphone 4S as specified before. But now hackers have found a way to put Siri on the Iphone 4! Even with the new release of the firmware update 5.1, its been jailbroken. Its also an untethered jailbreak! You can search it up on many websites but normally for a jailbreak, i use Redsn0w. The Redsn0w application also allows you to boot for tethered and it has many features along with it! </div>Arief Zulkiflihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11431812416756145937noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6927521032178049256.post-32533373611609875202011-12-24T12:33:00.000-05:002011-12-24T12:33:17.691-05:00Al-Ain Trip<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"> Yesterday my whole family went to Al-Ain for one night along with my friends family. We rented a chalet next to the mountains and unpacked everything there. Straight after packing we headed for a picnic at the foot of extensive hilly ranges. The picnic area was packed, it seemed as if everyone else choose to have a picnic at the same place on the same day. There were many different small ranges of rocky mountains. After the picnic, it was already midday and we headed back to the chalet for awhile. We took a short rest and wore sweaters, getting prepared to drive up the mountain. It was dark when we started departure to the mountains. As we started escalating higher and higher, my ears started to feel air pressure. After some stages or so there were observation stops. My friend had Chinese lanterns and lit them. The lanterns flew away in the air brightly, attracting lots of attention from other people along with it. Finally, we approached the summit. There wasn't much up there but a restaurant and some hotels. But the view was simply splendid. After this we went back to the chalet for the night. The next morning we went to the Al-Ain zoo. It was an average zoo but all zoos are a nice experience, in my opinion. At some point my baby sister was tired and got really grumpy. In result we had to leave and that concludes the trip. I'm just glad to say that I've been to Al-Ain before, it was a nice trip overall!</div>Arief Zulkiflihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11431812416756145937noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6927521032178049256.post-78477309373092934802011-12-16T06:03:00.000-05:002011-12-16T06:03:30.848-05:00Honey! Sweet Goodness!<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"> Just yesterday, my parents and their friends along with me went to Global Village in Dubai. If you don't already know about Global Village, I have an article about it somewhere in my previous posts. Anyways, it was a really fun experience with many cultural stalls and amazing performances. We had visited 'Yemen,<br />
which is one of the many countries they have in Global Village. Yemen had lots of local merchandise and probably the most distinctive of them is their honey. Yemeni honey is supposed to be one of the best. Most of the sellers gave free samples of the many types of honey they sold. They had special honeys to add on to the original honey like honey for married couples or kids. Honey is very healthy along to it being very delicious. If someone tells you that honey isn't good for you then that person is wrong. Honey is rich in antioxidants. It helps clean the body and is good for your throat. Also, honey has various healing properties to nearly all parts of the body, it can even cure eye problems. Lastly, honey is good for skin care like healing scars. As a conclusion, honey is very tasty, sweet, and can be used for cooking as a glazing or dip whilst being very nutritious and good for you! </div>Arief Zulkiflihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11431812416756145937noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6927521032178049256.post-39809560797944663162011-11-07T10:47:00.000-05:002011-11-07T10:47:39.238-05:00Fur Elise Piano<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on"><div> Fur Elise or For Elise is one of the most famous pieces from Ludwig Van Beethoven.
